Would You Kiss Someone Over The Internet?

One of the few drawbacks of internet dating is that you could find yourself falling for someone you doesn’t live round the corner and you have to spend a lot of your time chatting online. Sending messages and photos is all well and good but what if you could actually kiss someone?

Well,  the Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications has created a device which consists of a hardware receptacle which is placed into the mouth, and software that remembers the movements of your tongue and sends them to the other connected device, which moves accordingly. So it feels like your kissing the other person.. except you’re not really.

To add to the sensation of movement the team plan to add all the other elements that make kissing so enjoyable, such as taste, breathing and moistness of the lips and mouth.

We think its a little bit weird and surely can’t be a patch on the real thing.
