How Dating Has Changed.

Ever noticed how much things have changed since you took your first tentative steps into the world of dating?  It used to be that once you met someone you liked you’d get their home phone number and after the appropriate number of days you’d give them a call. Then, once you got to know them you’d maybe start calling each other a little more often.

These days it is totally different. Things have changed whether or in your twenties or 40 and single. You meet someone, you get their number and you text them, then you friend them on Facebook and maybe on Twitter, oh, and occasionally you might give them a call if you can’t find their email address.

to prove the point US dining company, Zagat has recently published the results of a survey about the way in which technology has effected the way we date. The result were somewhat unsurprising but reflect the way things have changed.

21% of people said that they are more likely to ask someone out via text, email or Facebook compared to 9% in 2009. Then once they got a date 52% of people admitting to Googling their new friend to find out more about them.

Technology hasn’t just impacted the way we get a date it has also changed the way we end a relationship – 21% admitted to dumping someone via email and 11% have done it by text.
